The Bell Media Studios digital team is looking for a highly creative, organized  video wunderkind to manage its extensive catalogue across both O&O and third-party platforms for Your Morning, Gusto and The Loop. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of industry best practices related to audience acquisition and video consumption as well as a fresh perspective on the ever-evolving digital-video landscape. He or she should be a self-starter by nature and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in a role that is equal parts creative and technical.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive video consumption of Bell Media Studios’ original and licensed content on both owned and operated (i.e. websites, apps) and third-party platforms (i.e. YouTube)
  • Clip, ingest and/or package digital video content and publish/unpublish daily across platforms, having confirmed all compliance and rights clearances have been secured and documented and appropriate metadata is in place
  • Curate and program varied video experiences for each platform and brand in partnership with digital content producers
  • Monitor video performance on all platforms in real-time and optimize accordingly
  • Maintain video campaigns and liaise with stakeholders (e.g. BP, ad-ops, content, etc.) as necessary to ensure campaign requirements are consistently met
  • Ensure video content meets or exceeds KPI targets across all platforms
  • Report regularly on video performance to internal teams and external content partners

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience managing video content at an MCN, digital department of a media company, YouTube or as a YouTube creator him/herself
  • Degree or equivalent college diploma in journalism, television production or related field
  • Lifestyle/Entertainment media background preferred
  • Knowledge of best publisher practices for YouTube (YouTube-certified in Audience Growth a bonus)
  • Experience working with Brightcove and/or the JW player
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to drive and analyze performance of short-form and longer-form digital video content
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain creativity in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment, with multiple stakeholders
  • Must be available to work outside of traditional business hours, approximately 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
