As a champion of the sales and ad operations organizations, the Product Manager, Sales has a passion for creating innovative digital sales products and pitches with the Sales team that drive growth and revenue for Bell Media. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Sales, the successful candidate also manages the ongoing needs of the Sales and Operations teams from a product perspective (i.e. execution of new digital product features to support new lines of business, implementation of new ad tracking technology) and ensures that digital product roadmaps are aligned with sales goals. The Product Manager, Sales is also responsible for maintaining and updating digital properties used by the Communications and Trade Marketing teams to promote Bell Media as well as aligning product roadmaps to their specific needs.

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales, Brand Partnerships, Ad Operations, Communications and Trade Marketing teams (key stakeholders) regarding new product development initiatives, product upgrades and ongoing maintenance
  • Create presentations and mocks to effectively communicate complex digital ideas
  • Create and maintain a series of sales product manuals and proactive sales packages to create efficiencies in the sales cycle
  • Capture the needs of key stakeholders and ensure that new and existing products are updated or re-launched to support those needs
  • Create and revise work back schedules based on project scope and requirements
  • Work with the Product Delivery team and other product teams to coordinate and prioritize the launch/update of new products for key stakeholders
  • Report to the Sr. Product Manager on the status of all pitches, projects in progress and new sales requests
  • Ideate, design and build ad units based on client goals and objectives
  • Identify current and future product development needs and opportunities
  • Works with all stakeholders to ensure that all current and new products are measurable by our analytics platform and Comscore and optimized for search engines (where required)
  • Monitor competition in the marketplace and recommend new market opportunities
  • Create strong relationships with key stakeholders and lead regular updates on digital product development
  • Represent the digital product group in discussions with key stakeholders
  • Lead brainstorm sessions with content and product teams to create new ad products and packages

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate new ideas to internal and external stakeholders, particularly to advertising clientele

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital product and/or sales roles
  • University degree at a minimum, ideally with a focus on marketing and business
  • Proficiency in Photoshop & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other web development tools
  • Experience with Keynote, After Effects, Final Cut/Premier or similar software
  • Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies
  • Understanding of how digital channels work
  • Experience working directly with the digital advertising community is ideal
