EZ Rock in Prince Rupert is right now searching for its next on-air personality! Bell Media is looking for an energetic and dynamic broadcaster to fill a Morning Show Announcer position. The successful applicant will be a be a team player with a great work ethic, love of the radio business and have genuine interest in

current events of the community that we broadcast to. This is a group 4 position and is covered by Unifor.

 

Hours of Work: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 am.

 

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Responsibilities:

  • Live in-studio and on location weather reporting
  • Preparing, planning, and executing the live morning show including researching and conducting interviews
  • Must be available for Remote broadcasts and station appearances
  • Voice tracking as scheduled by the Program Director
  • Daily blogging, Facebook, Twitter and other social networking activities
  • Demonstrate professionalism and leadership on the job and in the community
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or General Manager as per Unifor

 

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma from an post-secondary education in broadcasting, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of Music Master/Maestro an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking skills
  • Professional Presentation
  • A valid class 5 or equivalent driver’s license is required
  • Must be well versed in a variety of computer programs as well as having a familiarity with the Internet and social media
  • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties, while maintaining focus and composure
  • Demonstrated organization skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and make quick decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven, team environment

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
