Job description

Business Service Technicians are employees whose primary responsibilities are the installation, maintenance and repair of services provided to business customers, including key and PBX equipment.  Includes employees designated as SMC. 

Education Requirements

Successful completion of either an electrical/electronic engineering or computer technology program at a recognized technical training institute or a university science degree in engineering, computers or other relevant field. 


OR 


A 2 or 3 year Certificate/Diploma in an Information Technology program. 


OR  


Currently holds a valid IT industry network certification such as CISCO (CCENT or higher), Nortel (NCSS or higher) and/or Microsoft. 

Ability Requirements of the Position

Capacités physiques

  • Doit monter quotidiennement sur des poteaux (au moyen d’échelles, crampons et autres outils) 
  • Doit fréquemment soulever et/ou transporter des objets dont le poids peut aller jusqu’à 50 lb (22,7 kg) et soulever des charges de 100 lb (45,4 kg) 
  • Bonne vision des couleurs 
  • Doit être capable de travailler efficacement en hauteur 

 

Compétences/connaissances

  • Compétences en communications - verbales et écrites 
  • Compétences en informatique – courriel : Outlook et MSN, Intranet/Internet, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word 
  • Compétences en service à la clientèle 
  • Tolérance de l’ambiguïté 
  • Compétences en résolution de problèmes 

 

Autres

  • Formation de base en survie au large des côtes, au besoin 
  • Doit se rendre par hélicoptère ou avion en des lieux éloignés et, dans certains cas, sur plates formes pétrolières en mer 
  • Doit voyager en empruntant divers modes de transport dans toutes sortes de conditions météorologiques 
  • Permis de conduire valide

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
