Position Description:
The Bell Residential and Small Business Supply Chain team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual with solid management, business intelligence and data analysis abilities to fill the role of Business Intelligence Analyst.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team that is accountable for forecasting, ordering, inventory management, and the overall management for the distribution and logistics of Bell FibeTM TV, FibeTM Internet, and Bell Satellite products and services. Supported by the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be for responsible for gathering requirements, data mining, analysis and presentation of results, driven by logistics related activities.


Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Translate business requirements from supply chain team into reporting and analytical solutions that enable fact-based decision making, ad-hoc analysis and insight generation
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the business unit and effectively utilize these data sources for analysis purposes
  •  Interpret data/reporting and communicate complex business problems and solutions in clear and simple language
  • Developing Key Performance Indicators and ‘dashboards’ to facilitate business performance management
  • Proactively monitor performance trends,  and present recommendation to leadership team on areas for focus/improvement
  • Ensure data integrity by proactively monitoring trends, investigating anomalies and variances from a variety of sources throughout the organization.  This includes working with partners to understand changes in strategy, and system initiated modifications or data issues
  • Support for business case studies and impact analysis for future Supply Chain decisions


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • 2+ years experience in a business intelligence or business analyst position
  • Experience with MS Access and database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, SAS
  • Expert level in MS Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage both business acumen and technical skills to deliver results. Ability to analyze and translate raw data, and then prepare recommendations to solve ambiguous and complex issues
  • Proactive, organized, excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines & handle changing priorities
  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to analyse trends and project future impacts
  • A university degree in business administration, applied math, economics, or computer science or equivalent post secondary education and/or work experience


  • Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Previous experience in the area of Supply Chain/Logistics and Operations
  • Business Analyst certification or  a Bachelor’s/MBA degree in Business, Finance or Mathematics
  • Experience with data visualization using tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau
  • Experience (past or present) in telecommunications is an asset


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
