The Role:

This is a challenging position for a customer-focused product manager with a proven record of accomplishment of successfully delivering new products in the Consumer and Enterprise Telecom industry. You will guide 5G services product positioning through product development life cycle and executive governance processes. You will collaborate with other high-performance professionals who are passionate about contributing to Bell’s goal of being recognized as Canada’s leading Communications Company.


As part of the products and services team, you will be work with various Bell business units and partners to develop and launch new 5G services for both the Consumer and Enterprise markets. The launch of Bell’s 5G network will enable dramatic changes in the way businesses and consumers operate and communicate, such as smart cities, Industrial IoT and immersive video. Performing this role involves experience in championing product management strategy, buy/build/partner decisions, roadmaps and tactics and drives priority and alignment across the company.


You are confident managing complex, multifaceted/interrelated projects or multiple projects that span own area or department boundaries. You have a playbook for coaching your team members to anticipate roadblocks and balancing competing priorities in reaching decisions toward project execution. You are also skilled at supporting your team members’ career development objectives to grow their leadership effectiveness within Bell’s high performance team culture.


The velocity of change in the telecommunications industry will require you to analyse the broader landscape and integrate information from diverse sources, often involving large amounts of information. You will need to have advanced analytical skills to analyze and synthesize the information into compelling product value propositions. You will also need to prepare business case justification for new product investments. You will drive the full product lifecycle including identifying launch strategies and post-launch reporting and analytics with the customer experience being paramount for all activities.  


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the end to end 5G products and services management for consumer and enterprise IoT, IIoT, and Industry 4.0
  • Management of 5G services (Pre-launch planning & designing, Partnership management, Product management and Post launch)
  • Validate and manage 5G related service contracts
  • Create and design product requirements and business cases for new products and enablement platforms; support through all stages of ideation, funding, design, and execution
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with Product, Sales & Marketing
  • Manage development and product releases with cross functional groups (i.e. engineering, deployment process, billing, customer care, and sales)
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors', Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data & competitive intelligence
  • Work closely with solution & network vendors, integrators, and internal teams to launch and manage our products
  • Track and analyze performance of solutions through the various stages of the product lifecycle to help identify opportunities or areas of improvement
  • Develop models and scenarios to forecast business case scenarios and identify analytical insights that drive revenue


Experience/Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of practical end to end experience in product management and business development for the ICT product and service (Product planning, pre-launch, product management, and post launch management)
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical modelling and design thinking, creative skills.
  • Technically inclined with an interest and ability to understand how to leverage technology to solve real-customer problems
  • Knowledge of vertical mobility and IoT enterprise solutions, network, platforms and device markets and technologies
  • A self-starter and ability of dealing with the complex product and business
  • IoT product management, ICT OEM product management or sales engineer experience is preferred
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively across departments and levels of the organization
  • Persuasive presentation skills with the ability to evangelize and secure executive support for new product value propositions by using various frameworks and analytical tools
  • Strong command in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and CRM software
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment that responds to our customers’ priorities

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
