Summary
Reporting to the Senior Product Owner, the Project Manager will be involved in all aspects of projects, including documentation of project needs, analysis/research of needs and possible solutions, identifying technology and business solutions, gathering, documenting and updating business requirements; reviewing workflow process mapping; developing business testing strategies and working with project members to execute the test plan, recommending preferred solutions, and implementing recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and document clearly defined business requirements that accurately reflect stakeholder needs
- Manage and describe the Product backlog that includes the epics, features, and user stories
- Communicate with customers, partners, and IT Developers. Work closely with IT and with the business stakeholders to ensure that product being developed aligns to the needs of the business
- Business Unit Acceptance Testing: test scenarios, data set up/prep/coordination, test execution, review with stakeholders
- Map workflow and business processes
- Ensure traceability of solutions to requirements
- Facilitate and provide business impact analysis including risks assessments
- Support testing and change management requirements
- Produce and maintain reference information (Visio maps, guides, policies, step action documents, training manuals)
- Liaise with cross functional teams, subject matter experts, IT, vendors, project managers and various levels of management and non-management resources
- Conduct root-cause analysis of existing operational gaps and failures, and recommend possible solutions
Critical Qualifications
- Experience in creating / improving and documenting processes (mapping, charting, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization
- Ability to identify business requirements and create or participate in the elaboration of process solutions
- Strong influence, negotiation and risk management skills with ability to gain stakeholder alignment
- Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement and take appropriate action
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, displays high sense of urgency
- Effective project management and facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree, college diploma and or related work experience
- 3-5 years of business analyst experience in the telecommunications industry or Supply Chain is preferred
- Operational and technical knowledge in SAP
- Strong understanding and experience with change management principles
- Project Management Institute Certified (PMP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or SAFe Certified Product Owner/Product Manager is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Confluence, JIRA
