Reporting to the Director of Sales, IoT, the Regional Sales Manager for Smart Cities role is an integral component in driving Bell’s Smart City growth throughout Canada.  The successful candidate will have the national accountability for Bell’s Corporate Smart City Sales objectives.

You and your team will be accountable for driving our strategy and sales of Bell’s Smart City program to Canadian cities.  The Regional Sales Manager will also be required to maintain a solid understanding of new products and services as they become available and relate this knowledge all teams on a regular basis. 

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities: 

  • Lead a small sales team of Solutions Consultants
  • Own and drive your own Smart City sales opportunities
  • Engage in new business development and funnel management activities, including highlight areas of improvement and developing addressing action plans.
  • Manage sales activity and ensure adherence to key performance metrics required to achieve results
  • Develop and execute appropriate sales strategies with the team supporting business sales channels to meet revenue targets.
  • Support Bell Business Markets and Bell Mobility sales channels engaged in municipal sales
  • Interface with Bell’s key Smart City platform partners throughout the sales cycle and during implementation.
  • Represent Bell as needed to present our Smart City solution.
  • Lead with confidence and motivate the team to deliver on revenue objectives.
  • Develop strategic plan to assist sales to uncover new Smart City opportunities, including leveraging Canada’s Smart City Challenge to drive the sales funnel.  
  • Collaboration with Account Executives and fulfillment to set up service level expectations for data orders  
  • Providing performance tracking and analysis
  • Collaborate with internal partners to manage current product portfolio, pricing and contractual requirements
  • Be proactive in learning/understanding of North American Smart City trends
  • Commitment to growing a high performance culture by leading the team towards performance excellence with well-defined IDP's (Individual Development Plans)
  • Communicate funnel opportunity, issues and results to Bell Leadership teams

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

 

  • Experience in managing teams and resolving issues across multi-discipline functions
  • Experience working in a sales environment
  • Be able to communicate effectively and give presentations to various audiences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work effectively with virtual and multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting  numerous requests and deadlines
  • Independent  and self-motivated
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of IT, Networking
  • Experience working with municipalities and governments

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
