The Bell Mobility Corporate Development & Carrier Relations team focuses on Bell’s goal of becoming Canada’s leading telecommunications company through its strategic carrier relationships and corporate development activities. From negotiating agreements, to leading integration projects, and evaluating business development opportunities, the Corporate Development & Carrier Relations team is a key part of driving Bell’s success in the Canadian wireless market.

 

Position Description:
As Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Carrier Relations, you will be responsible for managing relationships with strategic domestic network partners. The Senior Manager will also engage in and manage complex corporate development activities impacting the Mobility business unit, including acquisitions and integration projects and business development opportunities. The successful candidate has a passion for solving complex business issues and improving the overall effectiveness of the team. He or she will have superior analytical skills, be naturally curious, a fast learner and enjoy collaborating with other leaders from across the business.
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support a team of project management, relationship management and financial analysts 
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners while effectively engaging and influencing cross functional internal stakeholders
  • Manage, maintain and implement complex commercial agreements to govern strategic partnerships
  • Review performance metrics and work with appropriate teams to ensure terms and conditions are met 
  • Analyze and understand business and financial drivers of settlement models, helping to identify variances and improve accuracy
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes, including establishing new frameworks
  • Provide guidance and management in developing best practices
  • Manage corporate development projects and activities including new integrations
  • Understand and assess the impact that new technologies and services, such as 5G, will have on partners and processes
  • Successfully navigate through critical business changes and address complex issues

 

Critical Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5-10 years experience in corporate development, service development, finance or project function
  • University degree in Business, Finance or similar discipline
  • Strong strategic, analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • High level of financial acumen
  • Understanding of wireless network technologies and wireless spectrum
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong relationships
  • Ability to influence all levels of the organization to drive results
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and independent thought leadership
  • Ability to multitask several critical activities and projects at once
  • Comfortable in leading large (multi business unit) working teams or working independently as required


Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Background in quantitative analysis and financial model development
  • Experience in project management and change management
  • Experience in process reengineering and business transformation is an asset
  • Experience in managing complex strategic relationships

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
