About Us:

Bell Information Technology – Digital Customer Experience (DCX) team is tasked with the delivery of web-based applications that serve wireless, residential and business markets. Bell.ca, Virginmobile.ca, LuckyMobile.ca, SoloMobile.ca are key sites within the portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Builds, mentors and manages the web development team
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of team members and vendors that are tasked for web and mobile delivery with the DCX team
  • Ensures that detailed technical specifications and development plans are produced, published and maintained following the DCX application life cycle
  • Ensures quality and security of produced code by thorough testing and code-review and that application perform as expected and have maximum availability
  • Liaises directly with IT group on project and operational issues such as application release requirements including infrastructure requirements and configuration changes

 

Critical Qualifications:

  • 4 - 6 years of programming and web design experience; 2 years supervisory experience
  • Exposure to a large variety of technologies, protocols, languages, techniques and design patterns, including knowledge of Microsoft .NET, JAVA, Internet technologies, HTML, AJAX, XML,CSS, Sencha as well as security techniques and web server familiarity
  • Must have thorough understanding of development processes including agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of Security operations practices including OWASP top 10, SAST/DAST and .net secure coding standards

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, multi-platform solutions
  • Ability to work with remote teams in multiple time zones, and support weekend release work occasionally
  • Agile training or certification

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
