Summary
The business unit team is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR specialist (CP2) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating a positive employee experience.
In this role, you will support employee experience, workforce administration, internal communications and culture initiatives for a dynamic business unit. Working closely with business leaders and corporate support teams, you will help ensure employees remain informed, engaged and connected while contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
As a CP2 professional, you will bring strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting people and teams. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple functions, build relationships with stakeholders throughout the business and contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee onboarding activities and support a seamless and positive new hire experience
- Handles a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Maintain workforce records, employee lists, organizational charts and related reporting
- Partner with Finance to support headcount planning, workforce forecasting and organizational reporting
- Support the administration of employee-related processes and documentation, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date
- Lead culture and engagement initiatives that support a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture
- Plan and coordinate employee events and engagement activities
- Support the development and execution of internal communications, including employee updates, management team communications, town halls and organizational announcements
- Maintain communication channels and content to ensure employees remain informed and engaged
- Act as a liaison between employees and corporate support teams, helping coordinate inquiries and requests related to Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits
- Support workplace readiness and office administration activities to ensure an efficient and positive employee experience
- Identify opportunities to improve employee-facing processes and contribute to the development of scalable and efficient ways of working
Critical Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant HR experience
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, professional and engaging communications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organization
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
- Experience supporting employee engagement, internal communications, culture initiatives or workforce administration is considered an asset
- Self-motivated, resourceful and comfortable working independently
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
