Summary
The Technology Services Applied AI team is a forward-deployed engineering team that embeds across Bell to build, ship, and integrate AI agents and automation into existing enterprise systems, and drives the innovation and build funnel for agentic software development.
As a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer, you will own hands-on build and prototyping work on live engagements, turning rapid prototypes into working agentic solutions with a senior engineer as your mentor, while bringing fresh thinking to how things get built.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, qualify, and prioritize opportunities with business and transformation partners, owning the intake funnel.
- Decide, with the Lead, which engagements the team takes on and when.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple concurrent engagements, keeping them moving, sequenced, and unblocked.
- Drive reuse of solutions and components across engagements.
- Define target outcomes for each engagement and track whether they are delivered.
Critical Qualifications
- 5+ years in product management, including 2+ on AI/ML or data products.
- Track record sourcing, qualifying, and prioritizing a pipeline of opportunities with business stakeholders.
- Sound judgment for sizing business value and prioritizing the pipeline, with enough familiarity with AI and automation to partner credibly with the engineering team.
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder skills across business and technology partners.
- A strong grasp of the AI product landscape and what is becoming newly possible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise transformation, automation, or cost-reduction programs.
- Background defining and tracking value/ROI for technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with change management and adoption practices.
- Experience working with embedded or forward-deployed engineering teams.
- A technical background, or hands-on experience with AI tools.
