Summary

The Web Developer II (ServiceNow) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web‑based solutions on the ServiceNow platform to support enterprise service delivery. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and user‑friendly applications and integrations, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to configuration, customization, and enhancement of ServiceNow modules while following best practices in Agile development, testing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop native software solutions (mobile or full-stack, as specified). 
  • Implement complex features and functionalities efficiently and effectively. 
  • Ensure the security and data privacy of applications. 
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. 
  • Contribute to complex testing, including test plan creation and execution, production defect triage and resolution. 
  • Provide accurate estimates for tasks in sprint and PI planning. 
  • Mentor and guide junior developers. 
  • Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making. 
  • Proactively identify and address potential technical challenges. 
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.  
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Identifies critical needs and takes decisive action to address them effectively and efficiently. 
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Actively seeks and implements new ideas and innovative solutions, proactively exploring new areas and opportunities for growth.

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in software development (some exceptions may be made for exceptionally skilled candidates). 
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and relevant frameworks (SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, etc., depending on the role's focus). 
  • Proficient in TDD, DevOps, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks. 
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Proficient in API integration and database technologies. 
  • For mobile roles: Proficiency in declarative UI solutions, battery management, and MVVM patterns. 
  • For full-stack roles: Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and design patterns. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills. 

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
