Name and Description of the Group Hiring:

The Integrated Marketing Scientifics (IMSBI) team primes all business intelligence and database marketing activities for the Bell Residential Services organization.

 

IMSBI is supported by close to 50 experienced professionals in their area of expertise and regroups four functional areas: Campaign database management, Infrastructure, targeted marketing campaign development, Advanced analytics and reporting.

 

IMSBI works in partnership with the marketing and marketing communication teams to provide insight into our customer base and build impactful marketing campaigns by providing the required targeted customers data/lists or analytics for the various marketing tactics.

 

The IMSBI team is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to support Marketing Activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible to develop new ETL processes and optimize existing processes to support marketing campaign activities.  The candidate will also be answering data requests from iMSBI members but also from other people within the Bell organisation.  Data and information will be from various databases/files and will be added into the campaign environment on a regular and/or ad hoc basis.They will execute the following tasks:

  • Analyze, design and develop ETL processes using SAS and Teradata;
  • Maintain and optimize ETL processes;
  • Investigate and resolve data and processes issues;
  • Work closely with project team and business partners to identify new opportunities;
  • Work on different projects and new initiatives;

 

Essential Competencies:

  • 3-5 years in a Developer role;
  • Strong experience with ETL development, design techniques and tools;
  • Solid experience with SAS and SQL programming;
  • Solid experience with Teradata, Oracle and SAS; tools and products;
  • Advanced knowledge of the following software: Enterprise Guide, Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Ability to debug, fix and optimize code written by other; including the understanding of the business rules;
  • Ability to analyse large data sets on various database environments;
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver expected solution;
  • Ability to review and understand business documents (BRD, SRS);
  • Ability to dispute the status quo and propose new solutions;
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time;
  • Extremely rigorous with regards to the data and information provided;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is required;
  • Ability to work on their own, with a minimum of supervision within a dynamic environment;
  • Experience with Unica Campaign, Hadoop and Datastage;
  • Experience working with telecom data;

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
