Summary

Bell Canada’s Treasury Department provides support to the Bell Canada group of companies in the following areas: Treasury Operations, Capital Markets, Finance, Banking, Insurance, Capital Structure, Pension and Benefits Administration. The Treasury department is comprised of some 20 employees who are specialists in their respective fields. We are currently looking for a candidate to fill a Manager position in Treasury Operations. The candidate needs to possess strong organizational and analytical skills as well as an ability to deal with multiple players, internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance (Treasury Operations)

  • Daily management of the treasury operations including disbursements through various bank systems and via the treasury management system
  • Support daily and medium-term forecasting involving internal and external cash flow activities
  • Review cash positions and variance analysis per bank, account, and entity
  • Complete accounting entries for movements of funds, incoming and outgoing
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and audit requirements by being responsible for monthly and quarterly sign-off
  • Identify, assess and mitigate operational risks related to payments, banking platforms and cash movements
  • Support the integration of payment technologies and new services in the Treasury Operations team
  • Collaborate with internal partners & external partners to resolve issues that require special attention
  • Maintain and update Treasury Operations procedures and documentation
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Initiate or support projects and programs in Treasury Ops that enhance value, compliance or generate cost reduction
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from Senior Management in Finance and other departments, as required

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce (Finance, Accounting, or in a related field an asset)
  • 3-5 years experience in Treasury/Banking environment (or related field)
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP)
  • Data analysis or programming experience or experience with RPA, AI tools in a business environment
  • Knowledge of Canadian or international banking systems/payments would be considered assets
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Detail oriented with ability to accept continually evolving priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Customer service focus with ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and suppliers
  • Bilingualism required: Maintaining professional relationships with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada is critical to this position

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
