Position: Investigative Journalist, Noovo

Location: Montreal (QC)

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Job Status: Regular Full Time - 40 hours per week

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce hard-hitting reports that reveal information of public interest that is usually kept hidden
  • Maintain a rich network of contacts to initiate or support investigations
  • Propose and develop original topics for coverage; strong ability to go beyond the news
  • Present your reports on TV and digital, in video and in writing
  • Shoot own footage, edit/light and produce stories for both TV and digital
  • Follow editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics and legal issues
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, communications or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years of journalism experience with at least five years of investigative journalism experience
  • Proven knowledge of investigative journalism techniques
  • Good knowledge of digital formats
  • Broad general knowledge
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Bilingualism required

 

Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
