We are the Bell Network IoT technology team. Our role is to provide technical direction and build IoT solution for Bell’s customers. Our playground is composed of specific verticals solutions (smart cities, smart building, connected car, etc.) as well as an application and security platform.

 

Our team is composed of developers, network engineers, devops administrators, scrum masters, agile coaches and much more. On our floor, you’ll see a work environment who maximize team collaboration, agility and problem solving. We like to innovate by using the latest technologies. Attending conferences, trainings, hackathons and meetups is part of our DNA. IoT is a cloud-based ecosystem, we are seeking a specialist to help us accelerate our ambition

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement and operate a hybrid PaaS based on Kubernetes on premise and public cloud (AWS, Azure, IBM, GCP)
  • Technology exploration with focus on the container ecosystem and tooling
  • Build reference architecture, define guideline for development and integration team
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations adapted to technical teams
  • Automate all manual task using Ansible and similar tools
  • Scan the industry to ensure technical sharpness and provide recommendation around technology evolution

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Real production experience with Docker and Kubernetes or Openshift
  • 5-10 years of experience working in IT infrastructure, system administration or software development
  • Very familiar with automation/orchestration tool such as Ansible and code management tools (GIT)
  • Good understanding of IT technologies (programming, cloud architecture, micro services, automation) and practices (OO, DevOps, TDD, CI/CD).

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Linux or Kubernetes certification
  • Experience with Openstack
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with a good sense of humour
  • Wireless core and RAN knowledge an asset
  • Bilingual French and English an asset
