Nature of the position:

The Administration and Finance Delegate reviews/negotiates original TV and digital production budgets, and optimizes program funding while taking into account the budgets and schedules established by the Company. The incumbent negotiates the terms of contracts related to original productions and does administrative follow-up with producers/distributors.

 

Reporting to: Director of Administration, Business Development, Operations and Compliance.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Optimization of funding for original TV and Digital programming
  • Administration of digital projects
  • Budget negotiation for Digital and TV production
  • Monitoring and managing broadcast rights
  • Approval of contract requests and IBMS reports
  • Support for Canadian acquisitions (pass buyback, inventory management as required by the grid)
  • Operational support for original productions
  • Other tasks

 

Knowledge and experience required:

  • BBA in administration or other relevant degree
  • Television and production experience
  • Knowledge of different sources of funding (funds, CMF)
  • Advanced knowledge of TV broadcast rights
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (advanced PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Knowledge of IBMS system, an asset

  • Very high discretion as the individual must handle confidential information
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines

Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
