Position Description:

The Field Business Provisioning and Assurance Automation and Strategic Initiatives team is focused on innovation and driving digital transformation. Today the team is seeking an analytical, resourceful and dynamic individual to drive the design, development and implementation of automation initiatives and web applications to improve operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to work in a high profile and challenging environment.

 

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Explore complex business provisioning and assurance processes and identify opportunities for Automation: existing system enhancements or robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Document processes that can be automated for the purpose of improving operational efficiency and productivity
  • Assess the feasibility of RPA software integration with existing systems and estimate required effort and timeline to automate
  • Lead and support a team of programmers in the development, testing and implementation of automation initiatives, local tools and web applications
  • Ensure technical and quality standards are enforced throughout the development lifecycle
  • Manage employee performance: Coach and supervise performance, development, presence at work

 

Critical Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or DCS/DEC in computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technology, including in particular .NET, C#, Visual Studio, TFS, MVC  6, ASP.NET, SQL Server and Access
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery
  • Minimum 3 years experience with application development best practices, including coding standards and code reviews
  • Project management experience in an AGILE environment
  • Experience leading a programming team
  • Strong communication skills in english
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, together with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, requiring minimal direction

 

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Certification in AGILE/SCRUM
  • Bilingual, English and French (written)
  • Experience in Automation delivery using Blue Prism software

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
