Job description:

Working under the Senior Product Manager, the monetization manager for digital media acts as the bridge between the products team and the monetization, sales and media creativity teams, in addition to helping to identify and develop monetization opportunities. The candidate must demonstrate a perfect handle on revenue-generating digital products (display, prerolls, newsletters, contests, integrated content, social media, sms). In addition, he or she is responsible for supporting initiatives relating to multi-platform sales and multi-brand projects for Bell Media.

 

Responsabilities:

  • Support the digital sales groups in their efforts, with the objective of increasing revenues by taking an active approach
  • Ensure the development and the improvement of the elements already available on the sites
  • Maximize inventory for sites (display, preroll)
  • Develop different strategies / packages to better adapt to certain industries
  • Stay on top of digital trends and adapt to maximize opportunities as they present themselves
  • Participate in initiatives to increase revenues

 

Develop new opportunities for digital revenue streams:

  • Production of Business cases that allow for the analysis of the returns from new business opportunities and/or structural changes to the organization
  • Define and set the parameters for business rules
  • Engage and mobilize the different influencers and shareholders
  • Modulate the processes and communicate the opportunities efficiently
  • Support the deployment of new opportunities and follow its performances to adjust and improve new products, even after the implementation
  • In collaboration with digital brand leaders, develop multi-brand and multi-platform monetization strategies
  • Keep tabs on the competition and stay on top of new web trends

 

Communication and coordination with sales groups:

  • Act as central contact point for 6 different sales groups in Canada
  • Monitor key performance indicators, identify potential problems and participate in coming up with solutions to ensure that objectives are met
  • Create presentations on sales opportunities and performance reports

 

Optimize digital group practices:

  • Identify the group’s challenges and bring forth strategic initiatives that fit the particularities of each brand
  • Lead work groups in collaboration with different departments to improve the group’s performance
  • Implement solutions, deploy tests on specific brands, note performances and deploy according to needs and strategies

 

Qualifications, competences and experiences:

  • Have a Bachelor’s in administration, marketing or a related field
  • Have at least three years of experience in an agency or at a digital media provider
  • Be a seasoned user of web measuring tools (Comscore, Omniture, Google Analytics) and a regular with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Be passionate about digital media and the new trends in web monetization
  • Be organized, rigorous and results-oriented
  • Have proven aptitudes for problem solving and for learning and adapting to constantly-evolving environments
  • Have a positive attitude to team work and excellent communications aptitudes
  • Perfect mastery of written French
  • Knowledge of the radio industry is a plus
