Summary
We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Principal AI Architect to define and lead the architectural design and implementation for our next-generation AI-powered products and services. This is a high-impactful role that demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional collaboration skills. As the Principal AI Architect, you will shape the future of our AI capabilities, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into our broader technology ecosystem to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that drive business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design of complex AI models and products, guiding projects from conception to production.
- Design and implement new AI-driven processes and products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives to reduce technical debt within the AI architecture.
- Provide expert advice on project feasibility, ensuring a production-focused approach and adherence to best practices.
- Lead collaborative sessions with key stakeholders (product managers, business leaders, etc.) to define project requirements and contribute to short- and long-term planning.
- Promote collaboration and synergy across the organization by leveraging shared resources and expertise.
- Manage and effectively prioritize multiple demanding projects simultaneously, ensuring rapid, high-quality deliverables.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards throughout the AI lifecycle.
- Assess, recommend, and integrate AI agents into internal systems and products, leveraging existing SDKs/APIs/tools and common user interfaces, with clear criteria for cost, performance, sovereignty, and compliance.
Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in designing and implementing AI architectures, with proven success in delivering complex AI-based solutions.
- Deep understanding of organizational business objectives and how AI can be leveraged to achieve strategic goals.
- Advanced experience in designing and implementing scalable, robust AI architectures across various platforms and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of business and technology trends related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and frameworks.
- Expertise in Python and various AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience building a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Expertise in implementation of monitoring solutions (LangFuse, Arize, NewRelic)
- Knowledge with CI/CD pipelines such as ArgoCD, Gitlab CI/CD, etc.
- Strong knowledge of security and compliance best practices related to AI development and deployment.
- Mastery of DevSecOps principles and best practices for testing and deploying AI models.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) -relevant cloud certifications are desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Publications in leading AI conferences or journals.
- Experience with specific AI technologies relevant to our stack
- Contributions to open-source projects related to AI
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
