About the Team
The Bell Canada Pension Group is seeking a Pension Manager to provide consulting services for a diverse clientele of business units within Bell Canada and its affiliates. This team oversees the design, administration, communications, registration and actuarial valuations of a multitude of pension plans with total assets exceeding $20 billion. The role involves ensuring the effective management of these pension plans, with a focus on long-term sustainability and compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Actuarial valuations and IFRS accounting for pension plans
- Preparing and delivering presentations for various pension committees
- Participating in mandates related to asset liability management
- Participating in initiatives and communications related to accumulation plans
- Collaborating with external administrators to address day-to-day issues and operational requirements
Critical Qualifications
- University degree in actuarial sciences
- Over 5 years of related experience in pensions or actuarial consulting
- Hold the fellowship designation of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA)
- Comprehensive understanding of pension plan design, regulations and administration
Preferred Qualifications
- High level of initiative, with the ability to anticipate and address complex challenges
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional project teams and colleagues
