Reporting to Director, Security Engineering & Program Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Network Security Practice and Integration team. This team is responsible to organize, influence and lead the delivery of Security Operations Center transformation initiatives with focus on business services, processes, automation and new security controls. The overarching goal of this team is to ensure we have the most secure network.

 

This role provides an excellent opportunity to liaise with key external and internal stakeholders within various Bell business units (IT, Corp Sec, BBM) while strengthening our network security function.

 

Key responsibilities:

Lead the people, process and technology transformation needed to build and operate a Network Security Practice and Integration team, focusing on SOC transformation initiatives.

 

The main functions are:

  • Based on defined cyber security roadmaps, define the security solutions, identify gaps & plan for agile execution
  • Align budgets and resources with tactical plan
  • Define and report metrics to Security Portfolio team, Network and Corporate Security executives
  • Continuously review and understand the security posture of Network assets
  • Build and maintain solutions to ensure security controls compliancy
  • Partner and collaborate with Corporate Security, IT and other internal business units to oversee implementation of necessary security measures
  • Accelerate integration of big data insights and machine learning into security operations to reduce risks and increase security posture

 

Key qualifications:

  • Tech savvy - preferably with engineering and information security background
  • Great coach - experience in leading and coaching people and teams to improve performance, creating enthusiasm for the work we do
  • Critical thinker - demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems effectively, 
  • Great communicator - ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
