Summary
The Procurement Department’s mission is to create value through its strategic role of providing best-in- class sourcing solutions while improving Bell’s EBITDA through cost reductions. This is achieved through the negotiation of agreements and other legal documents on behalf of Bell and its supplier community, setting the terms and conditions for the provision of products and services to Bell while optimizing Bell’s opportunities for improvements to EBITDA through reduced costs and overall management of key sourcing arrangements to maximize value aligning with business requirement as well as the strategic evolution of supply chain and EBITDA objectives.
We are seeking a candidate to join Bell Canada’s Procurement Organization. The Procurement team’s primary focus is to significantly reduce the cost of doing business for Bell Canada to align with corporate priorities, objectives and internal customer needs through increasing operational efficiency and productivity. This portfolio is high profile and considered key in meeting the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing initiatives
- Manage portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationships
- Drive total cost of ownership reduction , through joint process improvements with supplier
- Re-negotiate contracts in those situations not addressed by ‘strategic initiatives’
- Implement and manage standard supplier performance management programs
- Manage, perform quality control, and generate reports on spend data
- Continually identify leading practices from inside and outside of Bell for implementation/adoption
- Develop and mentor direct reports.
- Category expertise and management.
- Ensure adherence to Bell Canada’s best in class Procurement standards, process, and policies.
- Manage internal client relationships and meet/exceed their business requirements and expectations.
- Manage vendor relationship and performance. Generally, relationships are high profile, high risk and considered key in meeting the overall corporate objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a minimum of 5 years of Procurement experience.
- Knowledge of Telecommunications networks and industry.
- People Management and Leadership abilities to coach and mentor team members
- Experience in project management and change management
- Experience working in multi-functional teams as the project leader
- Strong negotiating, analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong work and client relationships
- Strong written/verbal communication and listening skills
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Undergraduate degree
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
