Role:

As a solution architect, you must navigate the development and cyber security environments of Bell Canada (internal clients) and those of managed clients (external clients) in terms of the various applications related to Bell Media’s service.

 

Your responsibilities will include to lead the current and next generation of web architecture among keeping abreast of the latest DevSecOps mindset, assessing the situation and making changes in the organization of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

 

Part of your daily work will be to reveiw and assess certain concepts and ideals. The goal is to help your peers’ knowledge to evolve and to open their minds to new approaches.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical advisor by mentoring other team members
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of DevSecOps
  • Supervise the development and implementation of new technological approaches, services and methods and assess the resulting impact on application vulnerability
  • Act as a mentor in the development teams with a view to implementing exemplary application development practices: continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), test driven development (TDD) and architecture
  • Develop automation tools to confirm the requirements and proper operation of the servers and applications
  • Clarify and standardize the visibility of security considerations for managers
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on the architecture and procedures

 

Desired Skills:

  • University or college degree in Computer Science or five years’ equivalent experience in Information Technology
  • Good understanding of the security measures for operating systems and application protection systems (WEB)
  • 5 years experience with web full stack development language such as Java, Python and JavaScript
  • 2 years experience with Spring Boot and Pivotal products
  • Web Application Security experience.
  • Ability to assess and cost project requirements.
  • Experience building cloud web application in high availability is an asset
  • Experience with monitoring solutions and event management (Logs, ELK, Kafka, Grafana, Nagios, Pager Duty, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and simplification skills
  • Leadership and organizational skills and ability to take initiatives
  • Knowledge of frontend development language such as (HTML5, CSS 3, Angular, JQuery) in a responsive design
  • Advanced knowledge of managing RHEL, Centos and Ubuntu systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.  Very detail oriented
  • Experience with CI/CD philosophy and (Gitlab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, etc.)
  • Experience with container orchestration an asset (Kubernetes, Swarm)
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Autonomous, self-learner and ability to assimilate new technologies
  • Skilled thinker, proactive, highly resourceful and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage time and priorities across multiple projects and duties
  • Bilingual (French and English)
