Enabling our industry-leading businesses requires many teams working collaboratively, such as Corporate Security & Responsibility, Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Procurement, Strategic Business Transformation and Real Estate. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Responsibility and Environment (CR&E), responsible for the company’s environmental management system, the incumbent will join a multidisciplinary team. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Environmental Management System (EMS) improvement: Support the team in working to improve the EMS (ISO 14001 certified), by actively participating in the preparation of performance reports, gap analysis, monitoring of objectives, non-conformities and corrective actions.
    responsible of the deployment of the environmental management software.
    Risk analysis: Identify and analyze risks and business opportunities related to the environment, to improve management systems.
  • Management of environmental aspects: Assist in the management of environmental aspects, including planning and coordinating environmental action committee meetings.
  • Tools and data: Contribute to updating the environmental assessment matrix and maintain an up-to-date list of revised documents. Assist, as needed, the project manager

Collaboration and project management:

  • Cross-departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the CR&E team members and the environmental coordinators of the various business units of the company.
  • Environmental program management: Participate in the management, coordination and implementation of environmental programs, monitoring of achievement and realization of the annual environmental action plan.
  • ESG inbox management: Manage the ESG e-mail box, assign follow-up actions to team members and follow up on actions.

Critical Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in a university program related to environment, corporate responsibility or sustainable development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in French and English.

Desired Skills / Competencies :

  • Thoroughness, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze data and synthesize information.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team spirit and collaboration skills.
  • Working knowledge of the ISO 14001 management system (an asset).
