Founded in 1983, Bimcor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Canada, currently manages over $30 billion invested in a wide range of public and private financial assets, mainly on behalf of pension funds of Bell Canada and its various subsidiaries and affiliates. Bimcor’s head office is in Montréal and it ranks as one of the largest private sector pension fund managers in Canada.
The individual will assist in developing tools to monitor investments in Public Markets, particularly in fixed income and equity markets. The incumbent will notably perform market research and financial analysis, assist with portfolio management activities and participate to investment meetings. The incumbent will support the investment team on ad-hoc requests and may be asked to participate to other projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop tools and models with Excel and Bloomberg for the Fixed Income and Public Equity portfolio management teams
- Perform market research and financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and macro-economic developments
- Explore possible applications of artificial intelligence for the investment team
- Participate in other projects and complete any other task as requested by the investment team
Critical Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Post-Graduate degree in progress (2nd or 3rd year) with a concentration in finance, economics, or a related field
- Good base knowledge of the investment world, including fixed income and derivative instruments
- Proficiency in financial analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and financial modeling, an asset
- Knowledge of databases, artificial intelligence and PowerBI, an asset
- Bilingualism required: In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
- Mature, flexible, autonomous, highly motivated team player with good communication skill
- Summer 2026 start date
- Lenght of internship: 4-8 months
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
