In order to support our Network 3.0 transformation, we are moving ours network technology to towards virtualization. During this transition, our servers’ management team is turning to automation and self-serves tools.

 

The applicant will be responsible for the management of virtualization and storage platforms within multi-techno (Windows, Unix, SQL) to support major business clients. More then a systems administrator we are looking for a team player who will leverage his/her experience and share it with the team to reach our goals. Automation or coding knowledge is a definite asset.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the teams collective strengh
  • Ensure the daily operations with an understanding of the client client point of view
  • Assist the other team members for certain interventions, when necessary
  • Investigate technical situations in order to maintain our client services.
  • Ensure proper operation of virtualized servers.
  • Manage and optimize the SAN, VMware platforms and the overall infrastructure
  • Contribute to technical optimization and automation of servers’ management.
  • Measure, evaluate and document the performance of the SAN, VMware platforms.
  • Develop technical documentation and procedures associated with management the SAN and VMware platforms.
  • Update a documentation relating to the different aspect of supported products.
  • Participate in implementation windows outside of business hours.
  • 24x7 support (on rotation)
  • Conduct analysis of opportunities on the possible improvement of the existing platform.
  • Establish procedures and develop systems (automation) to increase the effectiveness of surveillance tasks.
  • Perform all operational related duties related to the SAN platforms and VMware.
  • Analyze and diagnose problems and implement fixes that resolve them.
  • Participates in the development and evolution of all related documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • BAC or DEC in computer related studies.
  • 5 + years of relevant experience in the administration of SAN and VMware.

 

Essential knowledge:

5 years of experience in server environments, virtualization, storage and backups:

  • Cisco UCS-series Servers
  • HP Proliant Servers
  • VMware vSphere 6.x
  • Veritas Netbackup 7.7.x et +
  • End closure HP C7000
  • Experience managing complex IT environments across multiple sites
  • Experience in high availability environment management
  • Strong ability to write technical documentation
  • Spirit of initiative, leadership, keen organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • SAN switch management experiment (Brocade, Cisco MDS), and SAN switch management (Brocade, Cisco MDS)

  • Dell/EMC Data Domain
  • Dell/EMC Avamar
  • VEEAM Backup & Replication
  • Netapp Ontap cDot
  • Dell/EMC Unity
  • Knowledge in security
  • Knowledge in OS Windows 2008 and more
  • Knowledge in OS Red Hat Enterprise Lunix (RHEL) 6 and more
  • VMware VCP (certification)
  • Good knowlege of scripting with PowerShell/PowerCLI
