POSITION OVERVIEW

The Field Services Team is tasked with the responsibility of providing installation, maintenance, and repair services for business and residential customers. As a Summer Student Technician at ONTERA, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable delivery of telecommunications services to our business and residential customers. You will install, maintain, and repair wireless Internet and high-speed internet, home phone, and business communications services. Put your excellent customer service skills into action as you provide direct support and guidance and respond to customer inquiries related to our world-class products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain home phone, internet and wireless Internet services
• Working safely on ladders, watercrafts
• Working safely outdoors, in all weather conditions
• Lifting heavy objects safely

Requirements:

• Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week plus overtime during summer months
• Valid Ontario Drivers License (G2 or greater)
• Safe Driving record with no suspensions of any kind on your driving abstract
• Climb ladders without fear of heights
• Work indoors as well as outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
• Ability to distinguish colours
• English proficiency, both verbal and written
