On the Bell Business Markets team, you’ll be a vital part of making innovation happen for enterprise-scale customers. You’ll deliver advanced solutions in areas such as IoT, Mobility/5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, Voice, Collaboration & Contact Centre and Internet & Private Networks.

The Account Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Federal Government segment by driving retention, growth, and incremental sales within defined contracts and standing offers. This position works closely with Client Executives (primary sales representatives) to ensure strategic account success and deliver exceptional value to government clients. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and a performance-based sales bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Collaboration
- Act as a trusted partner to Client Executives, providing tactical and operational support to help achieve strategic objectives.
- Assist in account planning, opportunity identification, and execution of sales strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of proposals, pricing, and compliance documentation.
Sales Execution
- Develop and deliver compelling client proposals and presentations tailored to Federal Government requirements.
- Respond to multiple RFQs and RFPs with strict adherence to deadlines and compliance standards.
- Drive the full opportunity sales cycle from prospecting to close, ensuring alignment with government procurement processes.
- Monitor and manage renewals within the account base to maintain continuity and growth.
Operational Excellence
- Daily monitoring of government procurement portals for new opportunities and updates.
- Acknowledge purchase orders and process orders accurately and promptly.
- Track KPIs and revenue objectives, ensuring consistent reporting and forecasting.
Market Intelligence
- Stay informed on government policies, procurement trends, and competitive threats.
- Identify emerging technologies and opportunities to deliver greater value to Federal clients.
Critical Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years in direct sales
- CRM Expertise: Proficiency in managing sales cycles using Salesforce.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for proposal development and client engagement.
- Sales Skills: Ability to cold call and generate new funnel opportunities.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of telephony, data, and cloud services, including transition dynamics to cloud-based solutions.
- Performance: Results-driven with a strong commitment to achieving sales targets.
- Security Clearance: Canadian Government Secret-level clearance or willingness to obtain.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
