Name and description of the hiring department
Network Provisioning is an organization recognized by the telecommunications market for its innovation, service excellence and network readiness. Our team is committed to being the supplier of choice for customer-valued services, competitive technology and network solutions for anyone, anywhere. Job Duties / Accountabilities
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the following:
- Design and draft technical work plans based on industry, Internal and government standards
- Perform site visits to evaluate conditions to complete fieldwork
- Required to visit customer locations up to 60% of the the time, on a daily basis
- Negotiates and obtains right-of-way authorizations to install/maintain equipment on public or private property
- Monitoring Networks key dates and activities
- Proactively monitor territory, investigate and analyze network capacity to avoid escalations and potential roadblocks
- Interpret, prepare and administer third party contracts and all necessary documentation
- Calculate budget for networks and detailed cost estimates for charge orders
- Build and maintain business relationships with various stakeholders
- Coordinate dates, timing and requirements for various types of projects
- Perform all necessary investigation to ensure Bell’s projects are meeting standards, internal and external expectations and all necessary timing
Essential Qualifications / Competencies
- Minimum 1 year experience within Access Network
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel & Word
- Experience using CAD or other diagramming and/or design software
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Experience working with the general public and government agencies, etc.
- Relevant experience working in the Field/ Outdoors (i.e. Outdoor Land Survey experience, Telecom field experience, Construction, etc.)
- Relevant experience dealing with engineering and construction standards
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Strong team player
- Strong communication/facilitation skills, written & oral
- Ability to collaborate and negotiate with internal/external clients in person, in writing or verbally
- Ability to analyze, solve problems & make quality decisions with a strong customer focus
- Strong negiotiation, planning and organizing skills
- Strong financial Acumen and understanding of project pricing fundamentals
- Demonstrated positive demeanor and ability to work with others internally and externally
- Strong customer focus
- High tolerance to ambiguity and resistance to stress
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understanding of engineering and construction Standards
- Must have a valid full “G” drivers license
Preferred Qualifications / Competencies
- Experience using SAP P50
- Previous experience as an Access Nework Coordinator
- Experience using NetX, IPAIRS
- Knowledge of Bell Access Network and outside plant facilities
- Willing to take on new challenges and solve problems with minimal direction
- Completed Post-secondary education; Civil Technologist college diploma or / Civil Engineering degree or related field of study preferred
Working Conditions
The job consists of a mixture of office work, frequest field visits, and off-premise meetings with municipalities and other departments in Bell. The job requires employees that are flexible in hours of operation and are willing to put the time into the job to provide our customers with top quality service. On the job coaching and training is available from peers and management. Able to take over switching center duties without additional training.
