Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.


As a Business Development Leader you are responsible for attaining overall revenue goals for Professional Services (between $7M-$10M per year), building targeting strategies and territory plans, developing high level business contacts and relationships within prospect customers, achieving margin and profitability goals with new customers and be the key contact for both business development and engagement of resources for Professional Services. In this role you will represent Bell Canada as an enterprise Professional Services expert. Your goal is to look holistically at the needs of the target client and determine the right type of solutions that Bell can offer and leverage the existing sales force to penetrate the territory.


Job Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Drive Professional Services/Staff Augmentation revenue across Bell’s key practice portfolios of Unified Communication & Collaboration, Contact Center, ICT, Security, Mobile, Digital, and Cloud for engagements across the spectrum of Advisory, Architecture, Design, Development and Test
  • Understanding and experience with the full complement of Professional Services and Staff Augmentation VORs, TBIPs & SBIPs in Federal Government.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to anticipate, identify and address the client’s current recruitment challenges and project needs and propose solutions to skills and resourcing challenges
  • Ability to identify and close short term transactional engagements as well as long term large program funded engagements across all disciplines and skills
  • Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential influencers, buyers and decisions makers; discovering and exploring opportunities through regular executive calls, executive presentations, and delivery of top-tier value added programs
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by examining risks and potentials
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts
  • Advocate within Bell to drive support and development opportunities aligned with customer’s business requirements
  • Work closely with recruitment and delivery bench to drive bench utilization
  • Oversee and provide input and guidance to vendor management of downstream agencies and suppliers
  • Establish measures to ensure proficiency and success of Professional Services business.
  • Engage and build strong relationships with both internal and client stakeholders to advance the PS portfolio
  • Leverage extensive team of sellers for even greater coverage, opportunity identification, and territory penetration


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or Business
  • Bilingualism, English & French mandatory
  • 3-5 years of business development experience, with majority experience in Professional Services/Staff Augmentation
  • Experience selling to Federal Government an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills and a natural sales ability
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Recognized as a welcomed team player
