Summary

Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect to support the design and evolution of its technology ecosystem. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for defining architectural directions, assessing the impact of proposed solutions, and ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and industry best practices. You will work closely with technical teams and key stakeholders to guide technology transformation and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and define technology solution architectures based on business, operational, and security requirements.
  • Develop scalable, sustainable, and efficient solutions aligned with organizational technology standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensure seamless integration of applications, infrastructure, and data while assessing impacts on the existing technology landscape.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions adhere to established architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct opportunity, feasibility, and impact assessments to support strategic decision-making.Identify and manage technology risks while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams, business stakeholders, and vendors by recommending solutions that best address organizational needs.
  • Contribute to the modernization of existing systems and the continuous improvement of architectural practices.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify challenges, and align on solution approaches.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to technical teams on architecture methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Solutions Architecture, including the design, integration, and evolution of complex information systems.
  • Experience participating in large-scale software development or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Scrumban, or equivalent).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of solution architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience designing and integrating complex enterprise technology solutions.
  • Solid understanding of security, performance, integration, and technology governance considerations.
  • Ability to assess technology impacts, risks, and dependencies across multiple systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
  • Architecture-related certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
  • Experience with cloud technologies, modernization programs, and large-scale digital transformation projects.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
