The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Video Software Development, you will be playing a key role in crafting the platform that powers the digital presence for Bell Media’s brands.

  • As a .NET Web Application Developer, your duties will primarily revolve around designing, building and supporting feature enhancements focused on improving the Video CMS Web Portal.  
  • You’ll also be involved in building automated tests for the user interface component in addition to the unit tests created. 
  • Along with the Architect and Product Owner, you will be involved in meeting with different stakeholder groups to understand what enhancements would bring the greatest value to our users. 
  • Finally, as a 7/24 organization, you'll be required to participate in an on-call rotation to support the Video CMS during off hours. 
  • To be successful in this role, you will be expected to collaborate with their team to suggest the best path forward to support feature requests from Bell Media, complete work on-time, and be a self-motivated individual who can work without supervision.

The Digital Video Services Development team is responsible for the creation of awesome online experiences, powering the country’s most recognized brands, such as TSN, RDS, CTV and Crave.  Our team’s mission is to deliver digital experiences that entertain, inform, engage and inspire audiences through the screen of their choice – at home or on the go – on the web and through connected consumer electronic devices.
We work in a collaborative, agile environment with team members from all of Bell Media’s brands to develop specifications, make recommendations and build experiences that Canadians expect. We routinely explore the latest emerging technology to always remain at the forefront of the Digital Video industry.

Key Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in media or telecommunications in the areas of Software Development, IT, Technology Development, or Engineering functions
  • Experience building solutions with the Microsoft technology stack, including .Net, ASP.NET MVC, Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server operating system.
  • Experience with front end technologies such as JQuery, AngularJS, or KnockoutJS
  • Develop a cohesive user interface that supports the needs of a variety of internal users
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on requirements
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Ability to work well with others, even when situations get stressful
  • Eager to learn new skills or techniques
  • Previous experience working in an agile development team
  • Previous experience with .NET Core is an asset
  • Previous experience with client side testing tools such as Selenium is an asset




Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
