Summary
The ideal candidate has a passion for video entertainment combined with strong business acumen. As Analyst, Business Planning, you will support the Bell organization in delivering strategic insights, financial planning, and performance analysis to drive growth and operational excellence. This role plays a key part in forecasting, budgeting, negotiations and reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities to optimize results.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen and excels in translating data into actionable insights that support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Business Planning & Forecasting
- Support the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans for video services.
- Maintain and enhance financial and operational models to forecast and track revenue, subscriber growth, ARPU, churn, and cost drivers.
- Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts, providing clear explanations and recommendations.
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Leverage tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau or SQL to generate dashboards that deliver insights on product performance, pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and channel effectiveness.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc business performance reports, dashboards, business cases and executive presentations.
- Implement best practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of reporting.
Strategic Support
- Partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to evaluate business initiatives and investment cases.
- Conduct scenario analysis and assess the financial impacts of new programs, pricing changes, partner negotiations and strategic initiatives.
Critical Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, consulting in telecommunications or subscription-based businesses is an asset.
- Education: bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Analytical Prowess: financial acumen and understanding of revenue and cost drivers, with a clear ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Technical proficiencies: advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables and scenario analysis); experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and/or SQL/Python in addition to AI tools are an asset.
- Time Management: ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while demonstrating a high degree of initiative and a results-oriented mindset.
- Communications: excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
