Position:  Anchor / Reporter – CTV News Channel

Location: Scarbourgh, ON

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. This job includes shift work (day, night, weekend shifts).



CTV News Channel is looking for a dynamic and experienced news anchor/reporter who thrives in a live environment.  This new team member will have at least 4 years of broadcast journalism experience, is passionate about live television and knows the value of good story telling. Strong interviewing skills are a must as is the ability to generate original ideas, find, understand and present information quickly.



• Strong on- air presentation skills
• Understanding of National and International news
• Excellent news judgement, writing, research, and production skills
• Ability to generate daily story ideas
• Develop strong network of sources
• Must be available nights and weekends
• Proven ability to handle stressful situations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Minimum four years’ experience as a Reporter/ Anchor
• Degree or Certificate from a recognized Journalism Program or equivalent
• Social media experience
• French is an asset
