The Team

The Digital Video Services Development team is responsible for the creation of awesome online experiences, powering the digital experience of Canada’s most recognized brands, such as TSN, RDS, CTV and Crave TV.  Our team’s mission is to deliver digital experiences that entertain, inform, engage and inspire audiences through the screen of their choice – at home or on the go – on the web and through connected consumer electronic devices.

Position Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Video Services Development, you will be playing a key role in crafting the platform that powers the digital presence for Bell Media’s brands. 

Your duties include working with the infrastructure and development teams to deliver a scalable CI/CD pipeline, investigate and implement automation tools to improve the delivery time of features to customers, leverage on-premise cloud computing software to provide a flexible environment for teams to use, and maintain a heterogeneous environment in support of Bell Media’s digital video services.

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to collaborate with their team to suggest the best path forward to support feature requests from Bell Media, complete work on-time, and be a self-motivated individual who can work without supervision.


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in media or telecommunications in the areas of Software Development, IT, Technology Development, or Engineering functions
  • In-depth knowledge of Software Defined Networks, and Network Functions Virtualizations.
  • Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks (such as Akamai, Fastly or Limelight)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems, especially Redhat
  • Previous experience with cloud computing platforms (such as Amazon Web Services or OpenStack)
  • Previous experience with deployment management tools (such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Previous experience with CI/CD platforms (such as TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Previous experience with git source control
  • Familiarity with .Net Framework and C# programming language
  • Familiarity with Go programming language
  • Eager to learn new skills or techniques
  • Ability to work within an agile development team


Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Previous experience with deploying high visibility, public applications is an asset
  • Previous experience with .Net Core is an asset




Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
