Position: Media Digitizer, Bell Media
Location: 9 Channel Nine Court, Toronto (Ontario)
Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required


  • The Media Digitizer will monitor and recover live linear streams for Bell Media brands
  • Monitor, invoke and release blackouts on live linear streams
  • Encode and deliver video on demand content to various endpoints
  • Perform quality control checks of all encoded material prior to publishing
  • Act on missing content/encode errors and ensure timely delivery to all platforms
  • Coordinate and set-up schedules/internal sources to manage live encoders for streaming events across the country
  • Shift work will be required
  • Other duties as assigned



  • University/College education in broadcasting, digital media or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years digital media experience
  • 1-3 years experience with encoding tools and platforms (PIPE, AXIS, Action Engine)
  • 1-3 years experience with Sony Vegas Pro
  • Knowledge of HTML, XML, JPEG, Flash and Windows media, along with other pertinent web standards
  • Adept at working with digital video and sound for broadband, mobile and VOD platform.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and creative is a must
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain creativity in a high-pressure, deadline orientated environment



Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
