Overview
Dome Productions is looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills, technically minded, knowledgeable in live sports production to fill the role of Team Lead in our Remote Broadcast Centre. In this role, you will be part of the operations and engineering team that supports virtual ad replacement for live events.
Responsibilities
- Validate that all required resources are in place and operational as required. (Daily fax check)
- Pre event confirmation that Playlists and Creative are prepared and ready for air
- Coordinate activities with on-site personnel
- Alert the techs and supervisor of technical issues encountered
- Initiate bypass procedures when necessary
- Troubleshoot technical issues at the gallery and incoming feeds
- Troubleshoot IRC issues and provide solutions
- Set up galleries for the days broadcast
- Provide a report to the supervisor at the end of each event
- Oversee galleries and operators
- Work with the Techs to organize and populate game monitoring
- Monitor off air feeds
- Provide instructions to operators as they arrive on the day’s events of their responsibilities
- Give instruction to the operators during calibrations, observe and report issues to supervisors
- Send out NHL DED outage emails as needed
- Assist with calibrations and net captures
- Observe and assist operators with live game elements
- During game play, continue to observe galleries to ensure operators are continuing to be observant and engaged
- Ensure post-game uploads are completed
- Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of each operator report tracking negative and positive trends in skill and behavior
- Train new operators as needed
Skills / Requirements
- Solid Understanding of TGI Sport/AIR Software and Procedures (calibration, net captures, director, playlists, uploads…)
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Ability to work to deadlines and perform under pressure
- Ability to monitor multiple video streams concurrently
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Understanding of sports and entertainment mobile production, and video signal flow in general
- Detailed-orientated, multi-tasking, self-directed with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively under pressure and with a diverse group both in person and remotely.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows OS/Server environment, and advanced PC skills considered an asset
- Understanding of IP Transport & Streaming technology considered an asset
- Required to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends and holidays as needed
- Other duties as required
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Total earning range: $55,000 - $75.000. The advertised salary range may vary slightly as it is based on the company’s current salary structure, which may be revised by the company, from time to time, at its sole discretion. The agreed upon salary may also vary from the advertised salary ranges depending on several factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience and internal equity
The salary range above includes an Annual Incentive Plan objective which represent 4% of your Base Salary based on the achievement of individual and corporate objectives; The Annual Achievement Incentive Plan (“AIP”) payment is calculated based on a formula that takes into account several factors, including, without limitation, corporate and individual performance measures. The AIP payment is conditional upon meeting all of the AIP’s eligibility requirements. The AIP is subject to modification by the Company from time to time, at its sole discretion to better reflect evolving business structure, goals and strategies.
For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Dome office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Dome offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
