Summary
The Mobile Scheduling Specialist is responsible for coordinating and scheduling owned mobile and uplink facilities as well as negotiate and secure third party cross rentals. This position delivers a constantly high level of efficient and timely client service, communication and responsiveness to all internal and external clients/partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates and schedules within Dome’s VimBiz computer system all owned and rental mobile units to optimize mobile capacity.
- Negotiates and secures rental mobile units as necessary within the practices and policies of dome Productions.
- Negotiates sound reciprocal deals when/as needed.
- A comprehensive understanding of client’s properties and technical requirements.
- Follow up on each event’s logistics including venue information, park and power times, technical specification, drive times and other details that could impact Dome Productions deliverables.
- Liaise daily with engineering, operations, fleet and event production department.
- Prepares required support for annual and monthly planning, forecasting and budgeting.
- Approves all rental mobile invoices within company’s Vimbiz system.
Critical Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years working experience in television and/or mobile production management
- Previous scheduling experience is required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good organizational and administration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize and be creative with solutions
- Ability to work through decisions, solve problems and react independently
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player
- Ability to remain calm and collected in stressful, time sensitive situations
- In depth knowledge of mobile capacity and technical aspects of major and minor industry players in North American mobile industry.
- Must be flexible in working hours. Some travel required.
