The Bell Security Architecture and Delivery team is looking for new people to lead the evolution of security practice in Bell.

 

Role:

As a Security Content Architect you must understand the management and security environments of Bell Canada (internal clients) and those of managed clients (external clients) in terms of the various Bell’s cybersecurity objectives.

 

Your main role will be to lead the security architecture, strategic and tactical plans to scale and optimize the end-to-end monitoring, detection and response capabilities, for on-premise and cloud assets. You’ll be involved in technical and roadmap discussions and decisions with other senior security architects, internal business units and partners.  

 

Candidates must have built credibility in the security field across multiple fields of expertise, be self motivated, open minded and have a passion for creativity. The successful candidate will partner closely with security architects, other program managers and delivery stream leads internally in order gain and maintain alignment.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Determine, evaluate, test and support the implementation of advanced security features and tools while analyzing the impact on security posture 
  • Lead, track and influence SOC transformation initiatives from a planning, delivery and financial perspective
  • Lead the relationship with other internal stakeholders and vendors 
  • Support financial plan and annual budget of the security program (forecasting, tracking, analysis, reporting)
  • Support and encourage agile delivery approach and scrum methodology in the team, which includes leading planning, Kanban boards grooming and prioritization, retrospective sessions
  • Understand and track overall security posture by generating metrics and leading various related projects
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of security standards
  • Supervise the development and implementation of new technological approaches, services and methods and analyze the resulting impact on security posture
  • Understand and optimize the network security operational processes and lead the transformation to an ideal SOC people, process and technology state 
  • Build roadmaps for security services in line with a long-term vision

 

Essential skills:

  • 5+ years of Cyber Security experience, including architecture or design roles in major security projects and initiatives, particularly for monitoring, detection and response solutions 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Understanding in multiple fields of security, preferably with operation background 
  • Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps concepts 
  • Nice to have - programming/coding experience
  • High tolerance to ambiguity and ability to adapt in a fast-evolving environment 
  • Autonomous, self-learner, self driven, and ability to assimilate new methodologies, frameworks and technologies
  • Strong leadership abilities and business acumen
  • Ability to manage time and priorities across multiple projects and duties
  • Asset Experience with the implementation and operationalization of security capabilities like UEBA, RBD, EDR and/or  SOAR 
  • Asset: experience with log ingestion and/or data engineering
  • Asset: Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or others
