On the Bell Business Markets team, you’ll be a vital part of making innovation happen for enterprise-scale customers. You’ll deliver advanced solutions in areas such as IoT, Mobility/5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, Voice, Collaboration & Contact Centre and Internet & Private Networks.

The Senior Manager, Advanced Services Sales leads a team of technical sellers responsible for driving solution adoption and business growth within the public sector. This role combines people leadership, sales strategy, and technical acumen to ensure the team delivers high-value solutions aligned with client objectives and public sector mandates. The manager acts as a coach, mentor, and trusted advisor, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage a team of technical sales professionals. Set clear goals, provide ongoing coaching, and support professional growth.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to public sector clients, leveraging market insights and emerging technology trends.
  • Client Engagement: Oversee client interactions, ensuring the team delivers compelling proposals, presentations, and solution recommendations that address business challenges and compliance requirements.
  • Executive Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies, municipalities, and public organizations.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with architects, product teams, and delivery organizations to ensure solutions are technically sound and operationally feasible.
  • Performance Management: Monitor team performance against targets, analyze sales metrics, and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Market Advocacy: Represent the organization at industry events, webinars, and customer briefings. Gather market feedback to inform future offerings.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all solutions and proposals comply with public sector procurement processes, privacy laws, and security standards.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and coach team members, supporting professional growth and succession planning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption within the team.

Critical Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, solution architecture, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement, compliance, and solution selling with experience responding to RFP and RFIs.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM and sales automation tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud, data center, security, and emerging technologies is an asset.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
