Bell’s forward-thinking Customer Operations team is creating the ultimate service experience for our residential, wireless and small business consumers. We lead strategic development and execution of day-to-day operations, develop tools and processes to drive service enhancements, manage customer loyalty and retention, and leverage big data and artificial intelligence to create intellectual property.
 

 

We are looking for a Sr. AI Manager who has experience leading a team of data scientists and AI practitioners. The successful candidate will manage the data science AI LABS team, and help define the team’s AI/ML roadmap. The team’s mission is to explore and find value in new tools/techniques to enhance the company’s AI strategy. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers across the organization.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a team of data scientists and AI practitioners, prioritize team tasks, and orchestrate team efforts keeping in mind the company’s IP strategy
  • Explore and evaluate new AI tools/techniques in the areas of NLP/NLU/Deep Learning/Reinforcement Learning
  • Collaborate with cross functional, agile teams of data engineers, ML experts, and project managers in solving business problems
  • Apply your experience to drive the team future AI roadmap

 

Required competencies

 

  • You have development experience with at least one general programming language (e.g. Python, C/C++, Java)
  • You have previous experience with ML frameworks (e.g. Scikit-learn, Keras, Tensorflow)
  • You are organized and agile; comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize and troubleshoot a variety of technical/business issues
  • You are self-motivated and can demonstrate enthusiasm via personal projects, Kaggle competitions, publications, or presentations at meetups/conferences
  • Has lead highly technical and analytical teams for 2+ years
  • Skilled communicator with a proven record of leading projects across disciplines
