Summary

We are seeking an energetic and analytical Sr. Manager, Compensation to drive success for our partner compensation initiatives within the dynamic media landscape. This role will lead governance for payments, reporting, and data analytics across our distribution and affiliate channels. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient professional who thrives on process optimization, has a keen eye for detail, and excels in communication and problem-solving. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing processes, reporting, and analytics related to payments for external media distribution partners, including broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and enhance financial, payment, and process controls for media distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reporting enhancements to support rapid scaling in a digital-first environment.
  • Manage compensation projects and communications for internal teams and external media partners.
  • Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership on compensation trends and performance insights.
  • Analyze affiliate agreements and payment execution requirements to ensure accurate system deployment.
  • Conduct audits to ensure payment accuracy and compliance with contractual terms for broadcast and streaming partners.
  • Perform data-driven analysis to support strategic decisions on channel performance and revenue share.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external media partners to ensure seamless operations.

Critical Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, SAS, Oracle, Teradata, or similar tools for large-scale data analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting and presentations.
  • University degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of media industry economics, including affiliate revenue models and distribution agreements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement within a fast-paced, content-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Motivated, self-starter capable of driving projects to completion.
  • Familiarity with internal systems and processes used in media distribution and partner management is an asset.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
