About AI Fabric

AI Fabric is Bell’s national AI infrastructure platform, building and operating data centres across Canada purpose-built for AI workloads. We sit at the intersection of telecommunications, energy, real estate, and government policy. Our mandate: keep Canadian data in Canada and process it under Canadian operational control. The work spans hyperscale and enterprise customers, provincial and federal government partnerships, university research collaborations, and technology alliances that strengthen the Canadian AI stack. We are building the digital railroad this country needs. The team we build now will define how Canada builds, owns, and operates its AI infrastructure for the next generation.

The Opportunity

AI Fabric is scaling from a founding team into an operation that matches the size and complexity of what we’re building. The core work is finding and developing data centre sites across Canada and selling capacity to the hyperscalers, enterprises, and government agencies that need it. The volume, velocity, and number of concurrent workstreams have outpaced the team’s capacity to manage them without dedicated operational leadership. The connective tissue between site acquisitions, customer negotiations, hyperscaler relationships, and a federal policy agenda needs someone whose full-time job is making it hold.

This role enables strategy development and execution in service of AI Fabric’s two priorities: finding and developing data centre sites, and filling them with customers. Someone who ensures meetings are prepared, accountability is driven across commitments, decisions are documented, contracts are managed through to execution, and nothing falls between AI Fabric’s executive team.

The person in this role also acts as a key interface between AI Fabric’s leadership and the broader Bell organization, ensuring that executives and Corporate Strategy have the information, context, and materials they need to support and advance AI Fabric’s priorities. They will work with Bell Business Markets marketing and Corporate Communications to align messaging, and collaborate closely with Bell Business Markets leadership on cadence, milestones, and coordinated positioning on priority issues.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Cadence & Execution

  • Own the internal operating rhythm: weekly cadence, meeting preparation, action tracking, and follow-through across AI Fabric’s executive team and into the broader Bell organization.
  • Implement and maintain lightweight operational processes (deal tracking, decision logs, stakeholder mapping) without over-engineering them.
  • Drive accountability on action items across AI Fabric’s executive team. Flag items at risk of slipping and ensure resolution, not just visibility.
  • Collaborate with Bell Business Markets strategy and governance leads to ensure AI Fabric’s internal cadence aligns with enterprise milestones, reporting cycles, and key decision points. Help activate Bell’s national sales and account teams to surface site development and customer opportunities for AI Fabric.

Executive & Stakeholder Support

  • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and background documents for key meetings with government officials, partners, and the board.
  • Attend leadership meetings, capture decisions and commitments, and drive follow-up to completion.
  • Produce executive summaries and decision documents for board, partner, and government engagements.
  • Ensure that Bell executives and Corporate Strategy have timely, well-structured information on AI Fabric’s progress, pipeline, key risks, and upcoming milestones. Proactively prepare the materials and context they need to champion the initiative internally.
  • Collaborate directly with Corporate Strategy on financial modelling, business case development, and strategic positioning as needed to support AI Fabric’s growth and capital requirements.
  • Support work involving confidential and politically nuanced situations with senior leaders and external government stakeholders.
  • Work with Bell Business Markets marketing and Corporate Communications to align messaging, tone, and positioning on shared priorities.

Contract & Legal Management

  • Own the contract lifecycle from draft through execution: NDAs, LOIs, MSAs, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and government contracts.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel to review, redline, and finalize agreements on timeline.
  • Maintain a contract tracker with key terms, expiration dates, renewal windows, and obligations so nothing lapses or gets missed.
  • Ensure contracts are properly executed, filed, and accessible to the relevant executives.
  • Flag legal risks, unusual terms, or compliance issues to AI Fabric’s executive team before execution.

Information Flow & Coordination

  • Manage information flow between AI Fabric’s executive team so context is shared and nothing drops.
  • Triage incoming requests and protect executive time for high-value work.
  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for cross-functional initiatives with external partners, legal, and government stakeholders.

Critical Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (consulting, government, telecommunications, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders in fast-moving, ambiguous contexts with the ability to determine next steps when direction is incomplete or evolving.
  • Experience managing contracts and working with legal counsel on commercial agreements, government contracts, or partnership terms.
  • Exceptional written communication: executive summaries, briefing notes, decision memos.
  • Strong critical thinking, structured problem-solving, and program management instincts with a bias toward action over process.
  • Comfortable working across government, enterprise, and telecommunications stakeholders, and effective at building collaborative relationships within a large enterprise while maintaining the pace and autonomy of a scaling operation.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to integrate them into daily workflows. We use AI extensively and expect every team member to do the same.
  • Government of Canada security clearance at SECRET level (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Bilingual English/French is a strong asset.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
