Bell Media is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Manager, Market Analysis & Strategic Planning to help shape the future of the advertising business. This individual will serve as a key strategic partner to leadership, using market intelligence, quantitative analysis, financial modelling, and commercial insight to identify growth opportunities, inform business planning, and support high-impact decisions across the advertising media ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
- Develop fact-based strategic recommendations to support advertising revenue growth, product innovation, pricing strategy, and long-range business planning.
- Monitor and analyze trends across advertising media, television, streaming, digital video, programmatic, retail media, ad technology, and audience measurement.
- Assess competitive developments, emerging business models, market shifts, and advertiser demand signals to identify opportunities and risks.
- Lead market sizing, forecasting, scenario planning, and business case development to support strategic decisions and investment priorities.
Commercial, Financial & Quantitative Analysis
- Perform advanced financial and quantitative analyses to evaluate revenue opportunities, partnerships, product investments, and commercial initiatives.
- Build forecasting models, ROI analyses, revenue projections, and financial business cases to support planning and prioritization.
- Analyze advertising market performance, pricing trends, inventory dynamics, audience behaviour, customer demand, and revenue drivers.
- Translate complex datasets and market information into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work cross-functionally with Revenue Management, Audience Insights, Product, Finance, Programming, and Sales to align strategy with execution.
- Partner with Revenue Management on pricing, yield, inventory, and revenue optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with Audience Insights and Product teams to evaluate new advertising solutions, data products, and monetization potential.
- Support Finance and Programming teams with business cases, forecasts, and content monetization analysis.
- Partner with Sales leadership to identify market growth opportunities, strengthen client-facing narratives, and support key commercial initiatives.
Business Performance & Decision Support
- Develop KPI frameworks and reporting approaches to track strategic initiatives and business performance.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, briefing materials, and recommendations for senior leadership discussions.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, analytical rigour, decision quality, and organizational alignment.
- Act as a strategic connector across teams, helping convert insights into action.
Critical Qualifications
Education
- Business degree required or strongly preferred; related disciplines such as Commerce, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Analytics will also be considered.
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced business or finance designation preferred.
Experience
- 7–10+ years of progressively responsible experience in strategy, market analysis, corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, finance, advertising, media, telecommunications, or related analytical roles.
- Experience in the advertising media space is strongly preferred, including exposure to video, digital, streaming, programmatic, audience data, measurement, or ad technology.
- Demonstrated experience building financial models, forecasts, market analyses, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and communicating complex analysis in a concise, business-oriented manner.
Analytical & Technical Capabilities
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business case development skills.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of market, financial, customer, and performance data into actionable insights.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization, BI tools, SQL, or analytics platforms is an asset.
- Strong understanding of advertising economics, media monetization, market dynamics, and revenue drivers.

- Serves as a trusted source of market intelligence and strategic insight for Bell Media’s advertising business.
- Influences decisions related to advertising products, pricing, revenue growth, partnerships, and investment priorities.
- Identifies new revenue opportunities and emerging market shifts ahead of the market.
- Delivers clear, actionable recommendations that improve commercial performance and strategic outcomes.
- Strengthens alignment across Revenue Management, Audience Insights, Product, Finance, Programming, and Sales.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
