Summary
The Opportunity:
Bell is seeking a highly driven Senior Manager, Value Creation Strategy to join our Corporate Strategy and Business Transformation group. This leadership role is focused on maximizing the strategic value of our transactions by owning and accelerating post-deal execution.
Operating at the critical intersection of corporate strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) execution, and operational excellence, you will act as the central orchestrator for cross-disciplinary teams. Your mission is to successfully drive complex integrations, carve-outs, and divestitures from deal signing through to full value realization.
What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?
As a Senior Manager driving deal execution, no two days are exactly alike. You will play a critical leadership role advising senior business unit leaders on post-merger integration, carve-outs and divestitures strategies. You will own the end-to-end delivery of complex integration and separation management offices, acting as the primary orchestrator across Finance, HR, IT, and Operations.
Beyond immediate deal execution, you will dedicate time to continuously evolving Bell’s internal value creation playbooks, identifying ways to leverage AI to drive execution efficiency, mentoring high-performing cross-functional teams, and building durable, trust-based relationships with top decision-makers across the company.
This role is purpose-built for a highly analytical leader with top-tier experience in value creation, management consulting or private equity operations. The successful candidate will possess the agility to seamlessly pivot from high-level C-suite strategic alignment to rigorous, on-the-ground execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Day 1 and Day 100 readiness planning, ensuring zero business disruption during critical ownership transfers.
- Advise on standalone organizational design and the development, negotiation, and management of Transition Service Agreements.
- Work closely with operations, finance, legal, and IT leads to integrate all functional findings into a cohesive and comprehensive transaction and integration/separation strategy.
- Oversee IT and systems segregation/integration strategies, including ERP migrations, data privacy compliance and infrastructure separation.
- Plan, organize, and execute all phases of post-merger integrations, carve-outs and divestitures, establishing and managing a formal Program Management Office to ensure milestones are met and value is created, successfully driving multiple initiatives forward simultaneously.
- Navigate the complexities of cross-functional teams and engagements.
- Enhance internal value creation methodologies. Leverage approved AI and analytics tools to enhance insight quality and execution efficiency during the post-deal execution lifecycle.
- Advise senior leadership on strategic initiatives related to capability building, post-acquisition growth, and long-term operational excellence.
- Develop business cases, project plans, and executive-level presentations to support decision-making.
- Prepare clear, high-level diligence and progress reports for senior leadership.
Critical Qualifications
- 3 - 7 years of experience, preferably in a top-tier management consulting firm, a private equity value creation team, or a corporate development role with a focus on post-merger integration and divestitures.
- Deep, hands-on expertise leading complex Post-Merger Integrations, carve-outs, divestitures, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of corporate strategy, value creation levers, and financial principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make well-reasoned and supported conclusions.
- Strong organizational and program management skills. Capable of driving multiple complex cross-functional workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
