Summary
Bell Media’s digital content creation team is looking for an experienced and talented social strategist who lives and breathes all things social media. Operating in an extremely fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative environment with globally recognized entertainment brands and series, we create digital and social content that is culturally relevant while standing out in the vast landscape of news, entertainment and lifestyle editorial.
As the Social Strategist, Original Productions, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing organic and paid content performance across major social platforms (TikTok, META,YouTube, X, etc.) for key Bell Media brands, including CTV and Crave original programs, such as Heated Rivalry, The Amazing Race Canada, Sullivan’s Crossing, The Traitors Canada, Canada’s Drag Race and more. You have a strong understanding of key social metrics, and you know how to leverage data to tell a story. You are on the pulse of what is up-and-coming in online communities and are up to date on the latest platform updates. The successful candidate is empathetic, resourceful, and prides themselves on their attention to detail and ability to quickly recognize opportunities and challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy: Consult on social, content and/or channel strategies for key Bell Media programs to align with business goals, and advise on best practices and brand-building opportunities.
- Reporting: Monitor and analyze social performance KPI’s and social listening observations, and create social media reports across brands identifying actionable, data-driven insights to ensure KPI’s are being met.
- Optimization: Work with social media producers to ensure content is optimized for performance.
- Paid Social Support: Run paid social media campaigns, optimize, review and report on effectiveness to maximize results and make recommendations for future campaigns.
- Social Expertise: Keep on top of industry news, trends and emerging technologies, to ensure we create disruptive social-first content that grabs audience attention
- Other duties as assigned by the Social Strategy Manager
Critical Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience - University graduate and/or advertising/marketing College degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a digital/social media strategist with proven experience in digital audience growth, data reporting, and paid media
- Deep knowledge of performance analytics and data storytelling
- Experience managing paid media social budgets
- Expert-level knowledge and hands on activation on all social platforms (TikTok, META, X, YouTube, Pinterest)
- Experience leveraging Sprout and other analytics platforms to interpret data in relation to KPIs and industry benchmarks
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience leading and executing multiple projects at once in an environment that is fast paced, demands trend-setting creativity and ability to execute against challenging timelines
- Holds high creative content standards and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Positive, proactive and collaborative team player
Additional experience considered an asset:
- Experience with third-party social monitoring tools - Sprout Social preferred.
- Certifications for YouTube, META platforms, X or TikTok
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
