The Bell Residential & Small Business Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace. The team provides customers & Small businesses with Bell Home phone / Phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.


The BRSB Channel Compensation Team is responsible for the strategy, processes & payment of Bell Residential & Small Business’ commissions. As the Specialist, Channel Compensation, the successful candidate will develop and execute compensation strategy, manage the compensation budget, and prime compensation projects for the team. This position reports to the Senior Manager – BRSB Channel Compensation.



  • Act as point of contact for Bell Residential & Small Business Services compensation, provide strategic insights when required
  • Build business cases for commission rates to help drive activations & revenue for Bell
  • Presenting business cases to Bell executives and external partners
  • Participate in compensation negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with various sales teams to align sales strategy with compensation
  • Work with Finance team to guide in tracking performance over budget and forecasts
  • Assist leader and team specialists with setting fair commissions for various transactions
  • Providing valuable feedback on compensation structure, found through audit, to reduce incoming inquiries


Critical Qualifications:

  • Ability to use data to guide in strategic decision-making
  • Candidate must have experience building business cases and proposing recommendations
  • Ability to build effective presentations with PowerPoint
  • The individual must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Duties are to be completed in an efficient and professional manner at all times 
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail and ability to interpret legal contracts
  • Experience with managing projects
  • Organized team-player with ability to work well under pressure & tight deadlines
  • Experience dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Pro-active with ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with SQL, Microstrategy, and/or SAS


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
