The IT Infrastructure team is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to assume the role of Control-M Administrator.  Reporting to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure Operations, you will need to align and fulfill on business unit objectives from an infrastructure and support perspective for the Control-M environments within the organization. 

 

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

 

The Control-M Administrator will maintain and run the Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager software that supports the automated batch scheduling system. This includes installing, upgrading, configuring and maintaining Control-M.

 

The Control-M administrator will troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise throughout the day or night. Additionally, the administrator must be capable of providing technical support for Control-M for the controlled systems, which include all flavors of Linux/Unix and Windows. Candidates for this position should be familiar with command line capabilities on Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems and all aspects of BMC Control-M.

 

Qualifications / Competencies:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of Control-M application software Installation, Configuration and Deployment
  • Manage Control-M improvement projects related to automation and best practices
  • Manage Control-M upgrade projects including planning and testing and working with Global Distributed Support teams
  • Support various scripts and provide monitoring of various directories in production
  • Disaster Recovery Design Architect, Planning Strategy, Document Writer and implementer
  • Manage Control-M servers/agents using Control-M/Enterprise Manager version 9 and above
  • Install and manage Control-M modules. Example: Control-M Self Serve, Control-M for Backups, Control-M for BPI, Control-M for Database, Workload Automation, MFT Plug-in, PeopleSoft Plug-in
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Control-M Server/Agent
  • Administration of Control-M users via Control-M Security
  • SSL configuration to allow secure communication between the various Control-M components
  • Develop, manage and monitor workflows, define SLA
  • Integration with ticketing tools
  • Coordinate with Control-M Job Owners in analyzing and troubleshooting issues
  • Create/Modify/Monitor Batch jobs on all platforms including Linux, AIX, UNIX and Windows
  • Support Control-M/Enterprise Manager (EM) and Control-M database maintenance
  • Create and manage Node Groups
  • Create reports using the Control-M/EM Reporting Facility
  • Technical skills to support troubleshooting of development and production environments
  • Ability to self-manage deadlines and function within a team based environment

 

Assets:

 

  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic as administrator, to include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, automating routine WebLogic administrative tasks
  • Application knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft
  • ITIL certification.

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
